Hello everyone! I completely forgot- 2 years ago, on this very day, I started a blog.
My dad had a blog. It sounded like fun, so I asked my dad to help make me one. My posts were random and spontaneous. I had no readers or followers, except friends who checked it out once.
The next summer, I saw a blog called Small Dolls in a Big World. I looked at it. Doll posts sounded really cool, and I had some. I decided to make my blog all about dolls. I made photo stories and more. I got viewers and followers (once I got the widget, of course.)
Earlier this year, I stopped liking dolls as much. I made my blog about anything I wanted it to be, including dolls.
April came around. For some reason, blogging stopped being fun. I didn’t want to post. I made a total of 16 posts for 6 months. In October, I posted this:
I post, then not post, then say I’ll keep posting, then not post. And I haven’t really been having fun posting, which is what blogging’s all about.
I’ve probably lost all my readers.
However, my blog is about to expire. And it cost at least $10 dollars. So I’m going to do the 30-day blogging challenge, and maybe some posts in between. So hopefully I’ll be able to get my readers back and enjoy blogging again. Then I’ll see if I want to keep it up.
I’ve had an amazing time. Blogging has once again allowed me to free myself, to share my writings and ramblings. It’s also taught me so many things.
Quality. My writing and photos have been improving since my first photostory.
Perseverance. I’ve needed to keep going. I started things I didn’t finish, and said I would do things I didn’t do. But I’m working on it.
So, if any of you are wondering if you should have a blog, I say go for it. Blogging is an amazing thing.
