642 Things To Write About!

Hey everyone!

This past summer for my birthday, my dad got me a writing journal.

It’s called 642 Things To Write About, Young Writer’s Edition. I’d like to share a couple of the stories I wrote with it:

What’s something you can do better than anyone else? Write a how-to guide about it.

Note: I changed it some, for copyright.

When I write, it takes me to another world. I cannot quite describe it.

First, I get inspiration. Pinterest, daily events, or my overactive imagination.

Second, I think about it for a day. Who are the characters? What are their motivations and challenges?

Third, I write down the story of how they meet and overcome that challenge.

Fourth, I edit it. Would it sound better if I worded so-and-so differently?

Fifth, I share it. Reading is magical, and no one should miss out on it.

Pancakes Everywhere.

It was a fundraiser for the foster home.

I was cooking like crazy along with 10 other kids in my class. The demand was extremely high. We were going to make lots of money for the foster home! When I walked out of the kitchen, I heard a scream in the distance that explained everything:

“Food fight!”

I think this book is really cool and a good gift for a writer. There are a lot of fun prompts for the bored writer. I give this 4/5 stars, since some of the shorter prompts don’t have lines, so it’s harder to write, but other than that it’s amazing. Thumbs up.

  1. Ooh, this looks like a neat book! I actually have a book kind of like it that is called “642 Tiny Things to Draw,” or something like that. It’s a great little book.
