Reflection: AAWC 1

Hello! Today I’m posting my entry for AAWC Challenge I. Misty: I used Swan and Reflection in this story.

Team Swan
Lily stared at her reflection in the water. She knew no one ever came around to the lake by her house, so Lily could be alone with her thoughts.
A group of swans flocked nearby. Lily wished the ugly duckling story could apply to her: ugly as a child, pretty as an adult.
“Hello,” said a little girl as she toddled up next to Lily.
“Hi,” Lily replied.
The little girl dipped her feet in the water. “What are you doing?”
“Nothing,” Lily replied.
“Well obviously you were doing something,” said the little girl. “Otherwise you wouldn’t be breathing and you would die.”
Lily laughed. “You know a lot for someone your age.”
“You’re very pretty. Don’t let anyone tell you you’re not,” the girl said.
Lily was confused.  “What did you say your name was again?”
She looked over to the little girl, but saw no one. That was weird- Lily would have heard if she left. So what happened?
