March Recap // April Goals

Oh, look, slashes. I’m so fancy. Slashes // and brackets {}.

Welcome to my blog! If this is your first time visiting my blog, hello! March came and went pretty quickly, and I have revised my goals format again. This is a day late, because I was not ready to edit blog posts yesterday, but bear with me.

These posts kinda got long, so I’m just going to go over March, not unlike a bunch of other bloggers with more aesthetic blogs.

March (an overview):

5 books read. Went through a reading slump. Wrote and mostly edited Espionage with Heidi. Posted 10 blog posts. Favorite was this. Accomplished most of the monthly goals. Having a hard time with theater monologue length. Got stomach bug. Felt sickly a lot. Participated in 1st blog tour.  Finished planning two novels. Started some secret blog stuff.

Ta-da! Aesthetic-y. Now, onto my April Goals:

April Goals:

♥Finish Fantasy Gossip and Halfway to Fourteen for Camp NaNoWriMo.

♥ Work on final edits and formatting for Espionage.

♥ Eat healthier so I don’t feel sick as often.

♥ Exercise regularly.

♥ Practice monologue and enter the competition with confidence.

♥ Work on self-doubt.

♥ Continue to work for quality over quantity on blog posts.

♥ Make the most out of my free time and make sure I don’t get overwhelmed when I’m busy.

♥ Practice songs that I’m working on in singing lessons

So, I made my list shorter and compacted it into more definite things that I’m more likely to do/need to do. Yay? Yay!

March Goals

Before I begin, let’s go into last months’! I apologize in advance for a long post. I hope you enjoy it all the same.

Things I Did

Begin plotting out Halfway to Fourteen Yes! Still needs some tweaking, but it’s done.

Begin developing other Camp NaNo Novel Fantasy Gossip, yes.

Go for quality over quantity As I only posted like four times and have been developing stuff way in advance, I’d say I did this.

Learn my new ukulele! This turned out very well, I think. I already know guitar, so this wasn’t as hard.

♥Bake a new recipe Twice!

Read more books Not counting today, the 28th, I’ve read 12 books, as opposed to 5 last month.

Survive the greeting card class that I’m teaching I think I only died once!

Things I Sort of Did

Finish reading through Mission: Prodigy, and for bonus points, start on draft two I stopped reading halfway because the plot broke, and I couldn’t. I did start on draft two, though. Bonus points?

Post all the random drafts I have I worked on some, I think I posted one.

Brainstorm a new writing series I thought of a few ideas, but nothing really stuck out.

Work on my Bloglovin page I tried to fix my image problem. Sort of worked. Sort of didn’t.

Continue to attempt to practice my instruments more often I sort of did? More often than I usually do, but still not enough.

Be involved in the activities at the new acting workshop I’m going to I literally just meant the monologue competition. There’s like nothing else.

♥Work on writing the play for my school project At the beginning of the month, not so much at the end.

Things I Didn’t do

Finish Dragon’s Fire *sigh* I knew this wouldn’t get done anyway.

Work on the collab novel with Heidi Nope.

Make fair projects Except for Winterfare, none.

♥Get in the habit of using my bullet journal Just a few times this month.

Take more pictures Nope.

Print out more pictures Not this either.

♥Do at least one thing on the bucket list I made with my friend I knew we couldn’t do it anyway. But I will see her this weekend, so….

♥Read my Bible every day There’s been so much going on, and it’s so easy to forget. Especially when we excuse it with “I went to church”.

So, I’m pretty happy with most of that. Onto March’s!

February Goals 2017

So it turns out I am very behind on posting goals. I’m pretty sure my only goal for November was NaNoWriMo, and I must have forgotten by December, then I posted my resolutions in January. So, the last time I posted my goals was in October. Here’s what happened to those:

I actually accomplished all my goals…. huh. This is so new. You can check out the original post here. Anyway, I’m going to be posting about all of my goals this time. It seems more motivational.

New Year Resolutions/Bucket List Highlights

Hey everyone! I haven’t posted in a while, but here is an overview of the things I want to do in 2k17 (Don’t ask me why I said 2k. I’ve seen too many of the “put me on your story if I made your 2k16 better” things).

so far so good! April 2013

1. Take a picture every day for a year

I recently got a camera, as I said in my last post, so I’m going to try this. I’m not really going for just pretty pictures, but I’m going to capture pretty moments and print them on my blank wall.

2. Complete at least 75% of my things-to-do list with my friend

My friend and I created a bucket list of cool things to do this year. We’d like to complete them all, but sometimes life happens and we can’t do things.

3. Keep a jar of all the good things that happen

Kind of like the photos. I did this a little bit last year, and even though I didn’t finish it, every once in a while I take them out and read it and it’s very uplifting.

4. Read the Bible in 365 Days

Reading the Bible every day is a habit I’ve been trying to get into. I almost failed, but at 3:00 AM I did day one so I’m counting it as yesterday.

5. Sleep under the stars

In our backyard. In a truck. With my friend.

I have a secret board of the rest, which I’ll probably make public soon. Anyway, I hope you all had a great Christmas/New Years! If you want me to do a Christmas haul, let me know in the comments.

Summer Writing Goals

Hi, everyone! So today I’m going to share some of my writing goals for the summer.

books reading best-seller covers writers novels literature bookmark bookling inspiration motivation book cover:

Edit Royale

Last week I finished my novel, Royale, and I plan to actually edit it. My last novels I’ve felt are too bad to continue or edit, but I’m going to stick to my goal!

Finish my WIP (and come up with a title for it)

I’m taking a break from Royale and writing another book, which has almost no plot and no title. It’s mostly for my enjoyment, so I don’t know if I’ll work on it more after this.

Blog More Often

Yes, I’m counting this as writing. I want to post at least every two or three days. Some of the recent responses to my survey say that you want more posts, so I’m going to give them to you.

Finish the 100 for 100

This is a challenge on Go Teen Writers to write at least 100 words for 100 days. Hopefully I’m able to keep it up, since I’m going to be pretty busy this summer.

Grow

Not physically, but as a writer. I want to keep learning how to be a better writer.

Just a reminder, today is the last day to submit your stories for the Fiction vs. Fantasy Writing Camp!

What are your writing goals for the summer?
