Hello, everyone! I got inspired for a writing prompt!
And yes, technically it’s only the fifth, but by the time you read this it will probably be the sixth.
So, anyway, here goes:
All your life, people have looked at you differently, excluded you, made you feel worthless.
All your life, you’ve wondered what was different about you.
Even your own family treats you as though you’re an unequal. All your family has blonde or brown hair. Your hair is a distinctive shade of purple.
Sometimes you look in the mirror and wonder, How?
One day you see a wishing well. You decide to throw a penny into the well.
“I wish to know why I’m different,” you say. Suddenly, a woman comes up to you.
“You are different,” she says, “because you are not human.”
Wow, Gail Carson Levine books did a number on the fantasy section of my writing.
I would love to read your stories in the comments, or posted on your blog.
Thanks for reading,
P.S. I updated my “About Me” page if you want to check it out.
